The Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation helped this film to happen by providing production grants and mentoring advice.
WHAT IS IT?
We are a non-profit organisation, set up in part by ex-Channel 4 commissioners and is extremely generously funded by Channel 4. The Foundation forms part of Channel 4's mission to support documentary both on and off TV and sits alongside other new initiatives such as Fourdocs and More4.
The Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation exists to secure a creatively ambitious and diverse future for British documentary, by looking beyond television to develop, fund and distribute the work of the next generation of UK documentary filmmakers.
We are passionate about documentary and we want to work with people who share that passion. We give grants to filmmakers, run a new documentary festival every July called BRITDOC and are working with British charities and foundations to make films that need to be made.
